The unemployment rate slipped to 5.4 percent from 5.5 percent, while employment soared 3,700 after a 26,600 increase in September.

As of 08:04 GMT, the Australian dollar traded lower at $0.7587, the lowest level in four months, compared to the session’s open at $0.7594.
